Nice with Todd Hines

Nice is a city in southern France located on the Mediterranean coast. The area of today’s Nice is believed to be among the oldest human settlements in the world. The clear air and soft light has been of particular appeal to some of Western culture’s most outstanding painters, such as Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse. Their work is commemorated in two of the city’s museums, Musée Marc Chagall, and Musée Matisse.

Aside from taking a relaxing break from the fast-paced life in Paris, we will spend some time painting the unique landscapes and architecture of Nice. We will also visit the Matisse Museum, Roman ruins, and Old City.

We will leave Paris on Saturday, June 19 and return on Monday, June 21. We will be staying at the Little Palace Hotel located a few minutes walk from the beach. Remember, you will use two days of your rail pass for this excursion. The program will cover the price of your train ticket, reservations, hotel room for two nights, museum entrance fee, transportation to and from the museum, and two meals.
